Chinese Cultural Club
Chinese Cultural Club is a new CCA that combines 4 CCAs representing the different aspects of the Chinese Culture.

Chinese Chess
Primary 3 pupils will be able to experience all 4 aspects in 2025. These programmes allow students to explore different aspects of Chinese heritage, encouraging them to take pride in their roots while cultivating important life skills.
Following that, pupils will be invited to continue with the different CCAs in Primary 4 onwards.
Herb Gardening
Students get hands-on experience in cultivating a variety of Chinese herbs. They learn about the medicinal and culinary uses of each herb, fostering an appreciation for the natural world and sustainable living. Through this program, students develop patience, responsibility, and an understanding of traditional Chinese medicine.
Tea Appreciation
This program introduces students to the rich heritage of Chinese tea culture. Participants explore different types of Chinese teas, learn about the history and significance of tea ceremonies, and practice the art of brewing and serving tea. The calm and mindful nature of tea appreciation promotes focus, relaxation, and respect for tradition.
Chinese Opera
A vibrant and expressive component of our CCA, the Chinese Opera program immerses students in the world of traditional Chinese performing arts. Students gain experience in acting, singing, and performing operatic movements while wearing colorful costumes and makeup. Through Chinese Opera, students develop confidence, teamwork, and a deep connection to Chinese history and culture.
Chinese Calligraphy
Students can learn the traditional Chinese arts of calligraphy and ink painting. Through calligraphy, they practice writing Chinese characters with brush and ink, improving their handwriting and learning about the beauty of Chinese script. This activity helps develop patience and focus. In ink painting, students use brushes to create expressive paintings, often inspired by nature and Chinese culture. They learn to balance ink tones, brush strokes, and composition. These activities not only teach artistic skills but also deepen students’ understanding of Chinese culture and foster creativity and self-expression
Art Club
The Art Club is a vibrant space for creativity and collaboration, encouraging members to express themselves and connect through different forms. Different art forms could be in the form of painting, craftwork, clay-work or digit art.
Pupils can explore their artistic talents, learn new techniques, and share their passion for art. Whether you want to improve your skills, meet like-minded individuals, or simply enjoy the process of creating, Art Club offers a welcoming atmosphere for all.
Environment and Science Club
Our Environmental and Science Club focuses on engaging students with hands-on activities that promote environmental awareness and scientific exploration. We participate in recycling projects, simple experiments, and various initiatives that help us understand how to protect the Earth. Through these activities, the club encourages teamwork, creativity, and a passion for making a positive impact on our environment.
HOMEC Service Club
Be Empowered! Home Economics students acquire homemaking information and skills that are helpful in daily life. Homec is also a platform for pupils to embark on simple yet authentic and purposeful projects.
Pupils show gratitude towards the teachers and showed appreciation to nature as we collaborated with Herbs Garden CCA. Homec aims to further spread our love and care towards the community and through such acts, we hope to empower and be empowered.
Infocomm Club
The Infocomm Club teaches members basic coding using tools like Scratch, allowing them to learn programming fundamentals in a fun, interactive way. As members gain experience, they create their own games and projects. Senior members have the opportunity to present their creations at competitions, developing both their coding skills and teamwork abilities in a supportive environment.
Robotics
The Robotics Club uses Spike Prime which allows students to build and program interactive robots with LEGO bricks, sensors, motors and a range of building components. It is a robotics kit designed for education, combining programmable hardware with a user-friendly interface. Students can learn coding through block-based and text-based programming environment, enhancing their problem-solving skills. This hands-on approach fosters creativity and teamwork in robotics.
Journalism and Videography CCA
The Journalism and Videography CCA teaches media literacy, videography, and journalism skills. Students learn responsible media use and digital citizenship. In Primary 3 and 4, they focus on basic filming and editing, while in Primary 5 and 6, they advance to school event coverage (Instagram) and more complex editing techniques. Journalism is integrated to improve communication, with students writing scripts, narrating, or hosting videos. These skills are applied in projects like school event coverage and competitions. This CCA fosters creativity, confidence, and public speaking.
Library Club
Pupil librarians in a MBS play an important role in managing and maintaining the school library. The CCA is a serves the school community by :
1. Assisting with Book Organization – Shelving books
2. Maintaining the Library Environment – keeping the space clean and welcoming.
3. Helping with Library Operations – looking out for books that require repair.
4. Supporting MakerSpace - try out new ideas and activities that will be rolled out to the school population; and give feedback.
Drama Club
The MBS Centrestage Drama Club is a creative space where pupils are introduced to acting and storytelling through engaging group activities and performances. Over time, pupils gain confidence, hone communication skills and learn to express their thoughts and ideas with ease. The club fosters a love for the Arts while promoting friendship and collaboration among pupils.
